Receptionist
“Sam” has been with Beechwood since August 2007. Earlier that year she graduated with highest honours from Algonquin College’s Certified Veterinary Assistant program.
Sam has always had a passion for animals, especially exotics. She has done work with Little Rays Reptile Zoo, where she enjoyed educating and enriching the lives of the public about the zoo’s many inhabitants. Her favourite is the redfoot tortoise.
At home, Sam lives with her husband Shane and their three “kids”: Gem, their Golden Retriever, Gizmo, their Pomeranian, and Gadget their rabbit.
Growing up in Ottawa, Sam was raised fluently bilingual, which is an asset for our team. Being of an artistic nature, she is very often responsible for the various displays around the clinic, and our monthly programs on our reception bulletin board. In the future Sam looks forward to the many vacations she plans to take, travelling the world and getting submersed in a variety of cultures, viewing numerous animals in their natural habitat.
